Engine and Performance
The Apache RTX is powered by the newly developed 299.1cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine on the RT-XD4 platform. It produces a maximum output of 35.5 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine features dual cooling technology with water and oil jackets and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.
Built on a purpose-designed steel trellis frame, the RTX offers agility, stability, and control across varied terrains. The RT-XD4 platform emphasizes improved cooling efficiency, smoother power delivery, and reduced emissions. Key engineering highlights include dual overhead cams, a dual oil pump with a split crankcase, and a dual breather system, supporting consistent long-duration performance and ethanol-blended fuels.
Rider-Focused Technology
The Apache RTX is equipped with four ride modes—Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally—that adjust engine response, traction control, and ABS settings according to the terrain. Other advanced features include:
- Bi-directional quickshifter
- Cruise control
- Linear traction control
- 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity for map mirroring, navigation, and ride data
- Adjustable levers and tyre pressure monitoring system
Suspension, Brakes, and Handling
The bike features long-travel inverted WP cartridge forks at the front and a mono-tube floating piston unit at the rear, providing balanced damping and stability on rough terrain. Braking is managed via dual discs with terrain-adaptive ABS, while the chassis geometry ensures confidence on both tarmac and off-road trails.
Design and Touring Utility
The Apache RTX is designed for toughness and aggression. Its muscular silhouette integrates the tank and headlamp into a forward-leaning form, delivering a rally-ready stance. Key design features include signature DRL blades, crystalline twin-beam headlamps, and animated lighting elements. Available color options include Viper Green, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Lightning Black, and Tarn Bronze, each highlighted with Apache Red accents.
For touring utility, the RTX offers modular mounts for luggage, crash guards, and touring accessories. TVS has partnered with GIVI to provide high-quality quick-release panniers and a top box for riders seeking extended travel capabilities.
